Effective laser wart removal treatment

Hi folks. I have a single, large, stubborn wart on my knee that has been there for five years. I've literally tried everything: apple cider vinegar, duct tape, salicylic acid, even a home freezing kit. It shrinks and then grows back. My GP said I could try laser, but I'm skeptical because nothing else worked. Does laser actually kill the root, or will it just grow back again like it did with the other treatments?
